5th November 2006. Fog rolls in around the 180-ft high Tower of Terror during its construction, as the original La Terrasse food court area stands lonely and unloved below. Served by two Studio Catering Co. vans either side, the shallowness of this area can be clearly seen — bordered simply by two planters and a few benches. No “reveals”, no hidden secrets, nothing to explore. Everything can be seen in this one single shot.
Above, the 200ft crane can barely be seen, hidden by thick fog.
The enormous steel lighting rigs seen here were later replaced by more human-sized green lampposts in a subtle Californian style, though many still remain elsewhere in the park.
