Due to huge demand upon launch and a tiny theatre capacity, it was necessary to introduce a ticketing system for The Legend of the Lion King just weeks after opening in June 2004. Twice a day, a huge crowd would gather in the former extended queue of Star Tours to pick up these guaranteed seat tickets, before returning again later, up to half an hour in advance, for the best seats.

These proper tickets were finally introduced after over a year of using poorly-produced, photocopied tickets with a photo of a lion cub.
