In the June 1990 issue of cast magazine En Coulisse, Adventureland is given an extensive feature in the spotlight. We learn, for example, that the Swiss Family treehouse will “cost as much as Beverley Hills mansion to build and take a total of 3 years to complete” and that the restaurant which became Aux Epices Enchantées (now Restaurant Hakuna Matata) had another, earlier name: Port d’Afrique, or African Harbour. Further in, two fascinating aerial photos of the park and hotel construction sites can be found, with figures adding that no less than 50 cranes were present on-site at this point in the resort’s construction. |
