France’s TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) high speed rail network reaches Disneyland Paris with the completion and inauguration of Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station right at the heart of the resort, next to Festival Disney. Joined onto the existing RER local rail station, it serves as a hub for the whole Marne-la-Vallée region to the east of Paris and two years later would welcome the first international Eurostar services from across the Channel. Today it is the busiest interchange station on the whole TGV network.
