Eurostar begins its first high speed rail services direct to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, the station at the heart of Disneyland Paris, from London Waterloo International and Ashford International. Services travel through the 50 kilometre Channel Tunnel which opened in 1994. Guests previously had to change trains to a domestic TGV service at Lille Europe or take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord and catch the RER A train to reach Disneyland Paris by rail from the UK.
